The fee corresponding to Setup & Configuration includes:

  • Network connection setup,
  • Device configuration for proper functioning according to your needs.
  • Training or knowledge transfer on the device’s usage to the user.
  • The support visit has a cost of $50.

 

Equipment Warranty                                           

  • All new equipment is covered by a manufacturer’s warranty to be free from fabrication defects;
  • During this period, if the equipment fails to operate properly, it will be repaired or replaced at no charge by manufacturer.
  • After the 15-day period, the manufacturer’s warranty applies according terms and conditions of manufacturer.
  • The motion detector distance of the smart cameras fluctuates between 8 to 10 feet maximum.
  • Once the devices are installed, it is not possible to process returns unless the device fails in its operation, in which case the warranty will apply.

 

Service Warranty

  • Materials and workmanship has 15 days period from the date of installation is covered.
  • The service warranty covers the installation and configuration of the equipment.
  • If the equipment is installed incorrectly, the warranty will apply.
  • If the equipment is not configured properly, the warranty will also apply.
  • If for any reason the equipment loses the configuration performed by SMARTHAUS or must be reconfigured due to a cause unrelated to SMARTHAUS, the service warranty DOES NOT APPLY, however, the new configuration fee for the affected equipment will have a 25% discount.

  1. Disclaimer of Warranty: The company does not guarantee that the security system or installed smart devices are free from defects or errors, nor does it guarantee that the system will operate uninterrupted or free from interference.
  2. Limitation of Liability: The company limits its liability for direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages that may arise from the use or installation of products or services.
  3. Network Access and Privacy: The company may request customers to provide access to the home network for some smart devices and emphasize the importance of ensuring network privacy.
  4. Monitoring and Recording: If the installation includes cameras or other monitoring devices, the company must inform about the recording of images and audio, complying with local privacy laws.
  5. Maintenance and Updates: The company may indicate that it is the customer’s responsibility to keep devices updated and perform necessary maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
  6. Interference and Environmental Conditions: Warn about potential electromagnetic interference and environmental conditions that could affect the performance of devices.
  7. Misuse: Inform that the company will not be responsible for the misuse of installed devices or systems.
  8. Emergency Notification: In the case of security systems, include information about the need for an emergency notification plan and the importance of reporting incidents to authorities.
  9. Configuration Changes: Advise that unauthorized changes to device configurations could affect their operation, and the responsibility lies with the customer.
  10. Contracted Bandwidth: The customer must ensure adequate Internet bandwidth to ensure the proper functioning of installed devices. Insufficient bandwidth can affect data transmission and communication between devices, compromising performance. It is recommended to verify and adjust the Internet service speed according to the system’s needs for optimal functioning.
  11. Firmware and Operating System Updates: It is crucial to highlight that in some situations, the lack of updates in the firmware or operating systems of smart devices, as well as routers, can hinder or even prevent proper device configuration. It is strongly recommended to keep all systems updated to ensure optimal performance and smooth configuration.
  12. Wireless Communication Protocol Compatibility: It is important to note that, on certain occasions, wireless communication protocols may not be fully compatible with some devices, requiring adjustments in the type of network used. In such cases, SMARTHAUS recommends considering the installation of mesh technology networks, as these networks offer more robust coverage and efficient communication between devices, facilitating the proper use of installed smart systems.
  13. Prices and availability: Equipment and service prices are subject to change without notice. The availability of equipment and services may vary.
  14. Payments: Your credit or debit card will be charged at the time of purchase. Cash & checks are accepted.
  15. Shipping and installations: Equipment is shipped via a ground shipping provider. Installation time may vary depending on the customer’s location. We offer installation and configuration services for the equipment we sell. The cost of installation and configuration is included in the price of the packages. The customer is responsible for providing a safe and accessible work area for the installation. The customer is responsible for providing a safe and accessible net connected to the internet.
  16. Return policy: A 20% restocking fee will be charged for all returns. Returns of opened or used equipment are not accepted, unless the devices present manufacturer’s failures.
  17. Cancellations: Orders can be canceled without penalty before they are Installed. A 20% cancellation fee will be charged for all orders canceled after they are configurated.
  18. Limitation of liability: In no event shall the company be liable for any indirect, special, incidental or consequential damages, including but not limited to damages for loss of profits, loss of data or business interruption, arising out of or in connection with the use or inability to use the equipment or services.
  19. Applicable law: This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, USA.
  20. Jurisdiction: Any dispute arising out of or relating to this agreement shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Hillsborough County, Florida, USA.
  21. Waiver: No waiver of any provision of this agreement shall be effective unless in writing and signed by both parties.
  22. Entire agreement: This agreement constitutes the entire and exclusive agreement between the parties with respect to the subject matter hereof and supersedes all prior communications, representations or agreements, whether oral or written.
